Biography

Originally from Beni-Mellal, Morocco, i am currently based in Aarhus, Denmark, where i am a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering section within the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at Aarhus University.

I was educated and trained in Morocco, France, the United States, Germany, and Denmark in engineering, mechanics, and mathematics. At the crossroads of these fields, my research interests lie within the general area of theoretical solid mechanics with a view on industrial applications such as in mechanical, structural, and materials engineering; and on exploring the mechanics of naturally occurring phenomena, such as biological growth and morphogenesis.

My other passions in life include dance, hiking, and sailing.
